Dr. Hill Carter, Jr. received his medical degree from the University of Virginia and completed an internship and residency training in Family Practice at Riverside Hospital in Newport News, Virginia in 1975. Since that time, Dr. Carter has been providing quality health care to area residents at the Ashland Medical Center. As a family practitioner, Dr. Carter has numerous areas of special interest, including; infant care and immunizations, adolescent medicine, geriatric medicine, nursing home care, minor office surgery, routine gynecology and family planning, sports and exercise, weight loss and the nicotine patch.
