Capsule Endoscopy within our office. Capsule Endoscopy enables our physicians
to examine the three portions of your small intestine. We use a vitamin-pill
sized video capsule as an endoscope, which has its own camera and light
source. While the video capsule travels through the body, images are sent
to a data recorder. Afterwards, our physicians will view the images on
a video monitor. The FDA has recently approved the use of a capsule for
esophageal use.
