Dr. Joseph Longacher is a native of Newport News and received his education in Virginia at Eastern Mennonite College and the Medical College of Virginia. He has been a part of Virginia Physicians, Inc. since 1975, following 4 years as a General Practitioner in eastern Kentucky and 3 years in northern Indiana in Gastroenterology. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine at MCV and a regular Attending at McGuire Veterans Hospital, where he teaches colonoscopy, gastroscopy, and other GI procedures to physicians in training. He and his wife Constance have four children and five grandchildren.
