Dr. Seela Ramesh joined the Gastroenterology Division of Virginia Physicians Inc in September of 2007. He comes to VPI from Medical College of Virginia (MCV) Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship program. The Medical College of Virginia is a premier academic medical Institution and is highly rated for Gastrointestinal Diseases in the country for research. His extensive training includes Advanced and Therapeutic Endoscopy (ERCP, EUS), EMR, PDT and stent placements. He is also well versed with various Liver diseases, as MCV is well known worldwide for its Hepatology program. Prior to coming to Richmond he completed his Internal Medicine Residency at University of Connecticut in Farmington, Connecticut. He is a member of AGA and ASGE. He was born in India. He is married and has a 7 month old son.
