Dr. John Barnes is a native of Tazwell, VA, and attended the College of William and Mary graduating in 1977. In 1981, he received his M.D. from the Medical College of Virginia with membership in AOA, an honor medical society. In 1984, he completed a three year residency program in Family Practice at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. His wife’s name is Nolie, and they have three sons and a daughter.
