Dr. Shelley C. Short is a native of Lapeer, MI and attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. She received her M.D. from the Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA in 1994. She completed a three year residency at Hanover Family Physicians in Mechanicsville, VA.

She is board certified in Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Medical Society of Virginia. She is married and has 3 children.
