Michael Coggin, AGPCNP-BC has been providing excellent patient care to the residents of the Richmond area since 2014. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University (MSN, 2014), Virginia Commonwealth University (BSN, 2010), and Wake Forest University (BA-Psychology, 2006). After graduating nursing school from VCU in 2010, he & his wife moved to Charlotte, North Carolina: where he was a bedside nurse in Cardiothoracic surgery units, both step-down & intensive care, for four years. After seeing first-hand the need for improvement in preventative/primary care, he chose to pursue his Nurse Practitioner degree in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care medicine.
Upon graduating, the growing Coggin family moved back to Richmond & began serving the fine residents of Central Virginia. He & his wife–a Pharmacist in Richmond–live in Short Pump with their two happy & healthy children: Cooper and Ellis.
Michael joined Ashland Medical Center in July 2016.
